TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
